Sharon Brown, the Volleyball Head Coach, asked the team last year if they wanted to continue playing in our TSSAA District. We have to face tough A, AA and even some AAA schools that have much more talent than the Vikings. The girls responded with a resounding “YES” because they liked the competition, the experience and the friends they have made over the years. It seems the girls were right – we finished the season 8-20 which was a big improvement from the last several years.

The wins did not come easily. It took many long hours of practicing in the fall heat, doing the drills and working hard to come together as a team. This group of girls met the challenge and were determined to have a good year. Not only did we improve our season record, we also finished 5th Place in the Volleyball Mason Dixon and won the Sportsmanship Award.

Congratulations to Katie Ley, Brittney Milton, Jessica Webb-Captain, Amanda Wonofsky, Laura Turnbo, Toni Clabough, Ashley Lynch, Kenisia Langs, Justine Webb, Tori Carver, Albani Matthews – Manager and Amber Crawford – Manager.
